i had two pieces of gemoetry, each of them could turned to subd. however, i cant turn them to subd when i merged them together. wht should i do? i had merged all vertexs.......
how u handle nonmanifold geometry?

A lot of the time actions that cannot be perfromed will give you a reason in the script editor.
polygons > cleanup
Also make sure you have the 'Maximum Base Mesh Faces' in the poly to subD options set high enough.

Maybe after you merged the verts there are 2 faces right on top of each other where you did the merge? I don't know though, just a thought.
