Hi guys,
The screen capture should explain things pretty clearly, but to briefly outline - I am animating the height of a cylinder and deforming it using a PathDeform Modifier (plus a noise and wave modifier). That works fine, but I want to attach a helper object (actually, a particle system) to the leading edge of the cylinder (the red edge in the screencap) as it grows and deforms along the path. I realise I could just assign a path to the particle system (the same path used by the PathDeform) but I am wondering if there is a more elegant way of doing this.
Summing up my question - is it possible to assign geometry to follow a sub-object selection from another object? In this case, can I align a particle system over time to the top of the cylinder as it animates along the PathDeform?
Thanks
