View Full Version : Cloudy Particles popping!

I'm having issues with my cloudy particles popping off at the end of their lifspan. I've created an opacityPP ramp based on their lifespan and dragged the ramp onto the life transparency on my cloudy particle but they dont seem to fade away, they pop off the screen instead. Is there another way to achieve the effect I want with my cloudy particles?

A solution found.......plug ramp into density instead.

you can also plug a particleSampler node into the transparency for the shader...

Sometimes particle popping is remedied by flushing your particle disk cache before render...
