Yeah but those cost money.
And the one you mentioned requires a $2000 app... because it's a plugin...

The price drop maybe also due to the fact that more and more softwares have it, modo, max and even Silo is going to have one :

"As to texture mapping, we've got the framework in place but are working on licensing details for a particular texture unwrapping algorithm that should prove very effective."

I have played around with this tool a little bit, it seems to be more accurate than the pelt mapping technique. Less distortion.
Its too bad the demo version still has a 1000 tri limit and the more advanced features are turned off. It would be nice to know what the intended work flow is if you need to modify your given results.

Wow, the magic edition price is steep alright! Well, I already got Bodypaint (with pretty capable uv tools) which costs about as much but with all the painting capabilities.

Edit: didn't realize there is a freeware version!

I think thats a bit harsh, firstly sunit actually spends his time writing a cool plugin and script, secondly he makes it FREE, and you don't like the web page?

Geez.

The website for Unfold is terrible. some of the worst navigation I ever have seen. And the product is way over price. These guys need to get a clue on marketing.
