So last night I found out you can create your own images and exchange them for existing theme images on your iriver through the firmware.
---yes... this is a plug for iriver - my H340 is the BEST thing i have EVER bought!!!---
So i've decided to work through the firmware and upgrade it with my own creations. Alot more satisfing seeing something you have created there instead of someone elses (plus everything is dodgey - but for good reason there are somewhere between 250-300 images you have to change. (I foudn this out after I created the first :S so now im commited ;))
So everytime I sit at my computer chances are i have my iriver plugged in beside me... when that happens it displays...this

And naturally I thought it looked crap so I modelled a usb cable in rhino imported it into max... and came up with this...

Better??? To right it is...
The next step was a few minor changes and create a new 'disconnected' image... from

so... what do you think. They aren't really detail because the res is less than 100x100 but they were fun to do so i still went a bit over the top. The actual screen res is 220x176??(off the top of my head) so I trying to find a way to atleast increase them to that.
So im goign to try and work on images one by one here and if anyoen else has an iriver i'll be more than happy to teach them how to do this.
