CGSociety was kind enough to do a feature (http://features.cgsociety.org/story_custom.php?story_id=3292&page=) on my first short film, Egghunt. The film served as my undergraduate thesis film and has completed its festival run. It is now available to download with a CGTalk/CGSocety membership, or you can download it directly from my website:
>>> Small (http://www.paul-yan.com/temp/Egghunt_sm.mov) (10.9Mb MOV)
>>> Large (http://www.paul-yan.com/temp/Egghunt.mov) (98.7Mb MOV)
This being my first short, I decided to document the process from the very beginning. You can view the WIP thread (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=125312) or my Production Journal (http://www.paul-yan.com/egghunt/prodJournal-archive.php). Let me know what you think!

After seeing the short yesterday, I was so impressed I decided to check out the WIP thread. I just finally finished reading the entire thing, watching the short about 5 times in between. I have to say, you did an awesome job. Very inspiring to see such a thing. I'll be going off to college in a couple of years and hope to learn as much as you did. Great job. :)

thanks for all the kind words guys! save often - this project began in December 2003, and was completed April 2005.
Aww. I was expecting an "online easter egg hunt", like the eggs on a DVD.

this is really awesome work. Everything is really impressive, from the character design to the animation, everything is just beautiful. I hope when you get some time away from Toys you'll be doing another short film. Congrats on the success, your doing Cogswell proud, man.

Thanks for all the support guys, and an extra thanks to those of you who helped critique along the way! It's been a bumpy first ride, but I'm definitely going to jump on it again.
Merry Christmas everyone and have a Happy Holidays :)
