Try making the pie menu again but try creating it as a Pop up Form and not as a Pie menu.
You may also have to Nuke the Config File.
Close modo and try deleting the modo Config file in
C:\Documents and Settings\*your user name*\Application Data\Luxology\MODO.CFG
When modo starts up again it will recreate that file with a default modo Config.
After you have things set up back up the way you want back up the Config file.

oops I should have explained the rest. Sorry about that.
Follow this link:

4th tutorial on the right "I like Pie (menus)" is a video tutorial on making Pie menus and assigning them to a hot Key. It's a windows media file.
When you first create the Pie menu in teh form editor if you look at the right hand side Panel "Common Properties" you will see "Style" Click on that and a list will pop up.
Now when I did this I tired the Pie menus and it crashed. I switched it to "Popup Form" and it works fine. The popup form is just a text list.
When you make a Pie menu I think you are limited to 8 tools. A popup list, I think, is unlimited. One of mine has at least 10 tools.
I ended up creating 3 popup lists, 1 each for vertex tools, Edge tools and Polytools.
I then assigned each list to the 1, 2, 3 keys on the upper part of the key board.
So now I just hit "1" and I've got my commonly used Vertex tools, 2 for all my edge tools 3 for Polytools etc.
Hope that helps some.
