Hi,

Usually when I import clips, Premiere likes to conform them for "realtime playback". Needless to say these conformed audio files are uncompressed 32bit and thus take up alot of space, not to mention that they require time to conform.

Is there a way to disable this process by default? Conforming the audio is both time and HDD space consuming.

Cheers!

Don't think there is, sorry. Right there with you wishing there was though. Previous versions seemed to manage audio playback and waveform display just fine without conforming..
