Can someone translate this to English please

Cum se instaleaza l-glas in 3dsmax? (in caz ca merge.... sau... exista pt 3dsamx)

habar m-am http://www.visualart.ro/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif... eu lucrez in maya 7 http://www.visualart.ro/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif

dar probabil copii fisierul *.mi in MI_CUSTOM_SHADERS_PATH/include (ie in folderul mentalray/include care tre' sa fie prin directorul de instalare al maxului) shi fisierul *.dll in mentalray/lib...
dupa aia tre sa editezi *.rayrc (crek e tot in directorul mentalray)... sa adaugi doua linii de genul:

link "{MAXBASE}/lib/l_glass.{DSO}"
mi "{MAXBASE}/include/l_glass.mi"
..
nu cred ca o sa mearga... ca din cate stiu la max tre' sa modifici *.mi-ul ca sa-ti mearga http://www.visualart.ro/forum/images/smilies/shrug.gif

Ok I dont understand the launguage but I know what its about....its telling you where you have to put the mental ray scripts so your glass shader will work....

it says put the .mi file in the C/Program Files/Alias/Maya/MentalRay/Include

and put the .dll files in the C/Program files/Alias/Maya/MentalRay/Lib

then Open the Maya.Rayrc file with notepad and put in the lines
link "{MAXBASE}/lib/l_glass.{DSO}
mi "{MAXBASE}/include/l_glass.mi"

in with the others.....

How can I install I-glas in 3dsmax?( in case if its possible ... or... it does exist for 3dsmax)

but u probably u have to copy the file *.mi in MI_CUSTOM_SHADERS_PATH/include (ie to the folder mentalray/include wich has to be located in the max`s instalation folder) and the file *.dll in mentalray/lib...

after that u have to edit *rayrc (I think that it is located in mental ray folder too)... and add two lines like the following:
link "{MAXBASE}/lib/l_glass.{DSO}"
mi "{MAXBASE}/include/l_glass.mi"

I don`t think that`ll be working... becouse, from what I know in max u have to modify the "*.mi" in order to work [img]http://www.visualart.ro/forum/images/smilies/shrug.gif[/im

This would be a translation from romanian into english.
