View Full Version : Selection Display in the Viewport
rsquires 12-13-2005, 05:54 AM When I select something in the objects menu it is hilighted in the viewport with white lines. Is there a way to switch this off or to make the lines temporarily disabled, or to reduce their effect ( ie recolour them). I want to animate something and they are rather distracting
I have tried different display tags but to no avail

Well that does not do the trick.
See the attachment.
I still have a wire around my object.

if that doesn't help, go to your View's menu -> Display. You'll see many display modes listed there (Gourad, Quick...). Select the one without the option (Lines) next to it...
That should do the trick. If a display mode with "(Lines)" option is enabled, the selected object seem to become highlighted regardless of the state of the option in Config. I guess there's a purpose for that - but I haven't found it out yet (except to quickly switch between the highlighted and non-highlighted state using keyboad or mouse+menu).
