malc0lm 11-24-2002, 03:26 PM Hi! I'm new to C4D so this might be a newbie mistake, but here it goes..
This is my new WIP, but when I render it (1 distant light 200% brightness) these areas of weirdness comes up:

Looks strange...
Post your Radiosity settings, it's hard to guess the Problem just from the picture... ;)

It's the default settings (can't post 'em now since I'm not home).
Only thing that isnt the default is the "Accuracy" which is set to 75% (70% is default)

Weird... sorry, I can't see any obvious mistake or bug...
Is there another light under the table?

try raising the number of samples as well, this looks like there are too few samples to me (but i might be wrong). also change the light to a spotlight to it targets the window exactly (although this shouldn't have too much bearing on things as c4d uses gi sometimes these things do make a difference.

you need to boost your sample quality and min/max rays ...
check out MV's excellent tutorial here:
http://mvpny.com/RadTutMV/RadiosityTut3MV.html
it fully explains the function of min/max resolution vs. stochastic samples

:curious: hmmm ...
5 hours is waaaay too long for that scene ... are you using glossy (blurred) reflections? What are your hardware specs?
