View Full Version : Best way to get a clean box-modelled mesh
CarlCampbell 11-24-2002, 03:15 PM So whats the trick? Lately I've seen countless people posting these really cool WIP's and finished stuff around here and the meshes are just so clean! I'm working on a character of my own right now, and I've already messed up just trying to give him a jawbone! Anyone got any places one could check this out or any tips on this matter?

It's a simple matter of progressive complexity. You need to start simple, and work in more and more detail until you have the final result.
Think of it like clay-sculpting. You start with a cube, hew and mold it into the general form, and then keep adding detail as you go. It's better to work on the overall model rather than focus on specific parts for ages.
