At least there was a partridge in a pear tree.

On the first day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
A partridge in a pear tree.

On the second day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the third day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the fourth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the fifth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the sixth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the seventh day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the eighth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the ninth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the tenth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the eleventh day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the twelfth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree!

Fantastic animation that. Just shows, if you got a nack for animating the tool doesn't matter.

The rotation would have been a lot smoother if they upped the frame rate though.

Nice work, good to see good old animation.

I see a some of those elements... but bunnies... maybe lords a leaping, but bunnies. Crickets must be the drummers? Eh... don't see what's so amazing about it...

I think it SUCKED! shame on them for even sending it! :baa humbug:

really, though... just kidding. It was quite nice and nicely animated.

the more complex it got, the slower my frame rate got, which was kinda sad.

Wow, that looks a lot like the opening titles to the old 'Hungarian folk tales' cartoon from my childhood - I wonder if the Framestore guys have seen that? I'll try to dig up a link...

You can't see it here, but the animation of the leaves as they grow out of the bird's beak was very similar.

What's amazing about it is they took the time out to wish everybody happiness. I doubt the people over at Framestore have a lot of spare time on their hands, so it's nice to see they care to give their clients something pleasant for the holidays, as well as supporting disadvantaged people during a depressing time for many.

That and it was simple, sweet, and stylish.:)

well it was a nice bit of animation if you ask me! not all kick ass work must be in colour, have explosions and a half naked chick...
:)
btw erilaz i think it is a bit naive to think they did the poscard out of the goodness of their hearts- its just a wise bussines move that is common in the industry...

Quoted for agreement. It was quite well done and slick. All the artists here recieved it as well (in our work and personal emails) which was a nice surprise, as I knew nothing about it till I got it.

Now if only I could get someone to do my sims for me, it would be the Xmas I always wanted!

There's no naivity at all veljko. Of course it's business. It's good relations, just like in any relationship (business or otherwise). However given Framestore's reputation for excellence I doubt they really needed to go to such beautiful lengths. They did it because they wanted to. Pleasantly. :D
