jabbermacy 12-12-2005, 06:21 PM Can somebody please let me know if there are any good iris door tutorials out there (ala stargate)? I had an OLD one for Maya but can't find it anymore. I looked in this site and google (and even tried scifi-meshes, but no joy! Please let me know if anything exists - if not, I'm going to work on one ;)

I modled a stargate a while back, basicaly all i did was make a ring with 38 segments and then model all the symbols (took a few hours, and i am willing to e-mail you the scene if you want to play around with it) and for your iris i think that method would have to be the only way i can think of how to do it.
