Whats good?

Uhh i am new to film making and i was wondering if you guys can help me out or not. I am trying to make a music video, just for fun. I think i have a good equipment for it. I have a nice 6 speaker system (a nice subwoofer), that goes with my dell. Now i used to be a huge gamer, playing like 4 or 6 hours a day (not anymore) but with that my computer was made for. So i have a Radeon Pr 9000 or something like that. I have alot of memorie on my computer. I have a standared microphone and a webcam and a camcorder.

Now my webcam is pretty crappy, its a small little intel that doesnt look that good when i watch my self. But what i am asking help for is what program will help me edit my movie and my audio for my music video. Now my camcorder is pretty new just got it a few days ago for 600 from Bestbuy. It has super night shot and a regular night shot. It works with Windows XP (which i have) and Quick Time.

Is there a program that will help me edit my audo and my movie at the same time or should i buy two different programs altogether?

I would do it separately. . . Audacity is a good free sound editor, and there are many video editors out there (heck, Windows has one, though it isn't great).

I worked on zillions of vids.

Here are some standards.

-Try shooting a person who is singing to playback which is slowed down or sped up. You just take note of how much you sped up or slowed down audio track and then apply that same speed change to the video clip. If you are using a video camera, I guess you could just use the audio from the camcorder to help you sync the clip to the original audio track.

-Do lots of optical gags. Try to use persptective and movment to emphasize key moments in the song. Try to discover and expoloit strange or interesting looks produced by your camera.

-Music video editing is an art unto itself. Keep it moving fast so that people don't get a chance to examine your shots too closely.

-Use Lots of Layering, Forground/Background juxtoposition, any film storytelling device that you want to play with.

-Think of a strong color scheme. Find a reference photograph or design which creates a color expression simelar to that of your song. Make all your colours like it using colour correction or just in costume or location choice.

-If you shoot outside without a crew, just confine your shoot to "magic hour," The hour or two before sunset. If your shooting for no money, people don't really want to hang around for more than a few hours anyway. People leave the set when they feel like it, so try to keep it moving and interesting.

-Use camera movment and editing as an expressive instrument to visualize music. That means that when you are holding the camera, don't worry about making it perfect, we want to see that you feel the music.

-Keep a diary beside your bed so that you can write down your bad dreams before you forget them.
