Hey guys, i'm sprout from the sijun boards... over the past couple years, they haven't been impressing me anymore, so i thought i'd migrate over here, and see what all the fuss is about. This is my first macquette, ever. it is due on monday, so i need all the feedback i can get. please give me advice, and feedback, i'm still painting it, and i'm afraid to lay down another coat of blue, but i don't want the dark black from the undercoat, to completely disappear--however, the black is too black. I've been dry brushing it, but i want to have a quick fix, a gradient from the light blue highlights on the crests, to the suttle dark black in the crevices... please help.

So I'm currently attending art school minor in digital animation, and this the progress of a project i'm working on for my Character Development class. I'm actually building a macquette that i'll be adding pictures for later on, i've never actually painted in corel painter before but here are my valiant efforts.
