OK, maybe this didn't occur to you, but how the hell is a stone castle going to catch on fire?(or whatever that stuff is, it doesnt look like fire)
Now, if you wanted to have a disaster, make it sinking into that swamp you have in the background. Much more believable. :hmm:

Yes and maybe this should go in the WIP section, it needs lots oh help, you just need to buil on it. Worry bout that fire for later.

Well trying to stay away from ripping you up. Well i dont nuderstand what the background is suppose to be. The Castle isnt detailed enough to make it look believable. The castle would be falling apart as well.
Little tip, stay away from fire in max unless you have ALOT of experience or your using a expensive plugin.
I always wondered how a castle would catch fire. Of course its one of those "it wouldnt really happen in real life, but it happens in movies" Like fire and sound in space.
BTW love your name! Gotta love Meshuggah.

"This is a castle... on fire, in 3ds max..."
My face is on fire, when people get spreading first made stuffs.
So. Please look around first and WATCH and LEARN before you made anything...

Yeah this piece i definately not up to par with some of the other works ive seen here, but thats ok, this is why i put it up here, to get some critiques, this will also make me want to do something with higher production values. Thank you all for you crits.... and the Meshuggah comment, yes they rule...:p

If you want critiques, FINISH it first! I mean, come one... even yourself you should be able to know its NOT a complete scene, even if you intended it to be this way...

Actually a castle could catch fire. Castles usually have wood in them (tables, chairs, dressers, ornaments, support beams, ect). Also *most* castles have drapery and those are flamable as well.

Hmm, the castle architecture is off, so you should look at pictures of old castles to get ideas. Also, try making the smoke get bigger as it goes up, as well as more transparent. You could also try putting more towers/little houses nearby and on the ground as well as plant life.
