Start of a new boxing fight scenario this morning...Muhammad Ali vs George Forman.
First prepatory 3d thumbnail sketch...just going for the composition as it relates to the scene and the body gestures of the boxers at this point...will end up doing alot more studies of this scenario and the major sequences that determine the outcome of the fight from start to finish ..First scene, ..Ali being hit by Formans right and ending up against the ropes, where he is later pinned against the ropes throughout the fight,..as Ali is leaning way back against the ropes in a defensive gesture as he lets Forman wear himself out by throwing his best and hardest shots as Ali absorbs them,..until the final round where Ali uses his stored up energy to rebound against Forman, and knock him down and out in a lightning fast flurry of left and right punches to Formans jaw.

Did alot of sculpting on the figure of George Forman this morning..bulked him up quite a bit, and started to get more of a likeness in his face..Still alot to do yet on both figures, but the action and feeling is in place for this particular scene, and that's what counts the most for this kind of subject...the rest is just secondary trivia,...to me anyway.

Nothing fancy in my setup to use ZBRUSH,.....Just a DELL Computer with Memory { RAM } 4.00 Giga Bytes,...As the memory gets used up,...I transfer what I have created into a couple of extra external hard drives for safe keeping, and for reuse when desired..

Taking a break from the fight scene for a minute this morning to do a little futher exploration with the standard basic material and what it can do with the material modifiers in conjuction with the lights in ZBRUSH.

Did another lighting study this evening..Just trying to get a feel for the new LightCap feature within ZBRUSH..An Amazing new feature to say the least..Will take me a bunch of tries to get down all the possibilities that it offers,...but i'm having a great time exploring, experimenting and discovering new to me things in the process, and that's what matters the most at this stage of the game in my life..to me anyway..

Got a few minutes to work on this figure this morning...Adjusted the pose so it has more tension, torque,and twist between the angles of the pelvis and the torso as they relate to each other..shifting the center of gravity within the figure, and creating a forward thrust from the body core.
Also did some more experimenting with the use of dynamic light and shade.
Will work on the details last, ...after the pose and lighting are established.

A couple of shots of the figure without the Dynamic Light and Shade.
Need to adjust his feet and toes so they look like they are digging into the canvas creating a forward lung and thrust action..might shift his extended foram to a position where he is giving an uppercut punch..haven't decided on that yet..need to adjust the legs also.

Thanks Esmeralda..Yep,..still experimenting, exploring, learning, and last but for sure not least..ENJOYING..;)

Started working on the emotion of Muhammad Ali as he prepares to come off of the ropes in the last round of his bout with George Forman, and send the by this time exhausted Forman to the canvas with a flurry of powerful blows to Forman's jaw..thus allowing ALI to regain the World Heavyweight Championship Boxing Title one more time.

Starting the last round boxing scene this morning, between Muhammad Ali and George Forman,..when Ali finally comes off of the ropes and nails Forman with a flurry of lightning fast left and rights, which buckle Forman and send him down to the canvas for the count, giving Ali the World Championship Boxing title ..One More Time.
This will be the Twenty Ninth in a series of boxer and boxing paintings that i'm working on.

Yep...i'm still having fun with ZBRUSH, while trying to keep up with all the new features that they keep adding to it..never ending challenge it would seem..LOL..but challenges that always seems to keep me interested, by the shere number of new possibilities for new techniques that each new feature creates....Luv being able to experiment and explore the unknowns to me..never knowing exactly what the outcome may be...keeps the journy an adventure...and what kid at heart, such as myself doesn't like a good adventure.. :scream:

First try with the new Z4R4 version of ZBRUSH

Hey...Thank You Dmitry :) ....Going to eventually put that guy in a brutal scene, so i'm glad to hear that he comes across as such...:)

The rider is just a placeholder at the moment..just wanted to see how the horses main would look flowing behind a rider...haven't groomed any of the FiberMesh done so far yet..trying to see how the underlying sculpture affects the way the FiberMesh flows and reacts to it...just started working on the horses tail this morning...trying to achieve a sense of weight and gravity within the hair as a wind blows throught it in a scene that I have in mind for this piece.

I have loosly based this last concept of mine on the theme that Goya worked with in a couple of his paintings..I have just updated it to fit humanities current predicament,..making the old theme contemporary to fit humanities current time...but as I said, some things never change with time,..the madness of humanity being one of those things that wil never change,.. in spite of the well intentioned efforts of a few to do so.

Experimenting...2D / 2.5D image to 3D Plane..Just playing around this morning with an image that I created awhile back. Interesting works. They looks like someone's dreams, or parallel worlds. In places they look a bit abrupt, like you could watch this line more carefully and so on. Though I don't know if it matters to you much, maybe you are about to finish it later.

Thanks for the stop by Mister3D :) Just experimenting, while trying out some of the newer features within ZBRUSH...If I end up finishing something in the process, well that's great,..and if I don't,..well it's still great,..because I have still managed to learn something along the way..which is what it's really about in the long run..It's a win win type of thing, no matter how you choose to cut it..:)

I was this morning asked in my Sketchbook over at ZBRUSH Central as to how I was using the new Pixols to 3D Plugin within ZBRUSH

Might be useful, and of interest to someone within this forum..Who Knows...Thought that I would post my answer and reply in here also, just in case it may be.

Mealea...In answer to your question..Hell if I know http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/img/zbc_style/smilies/biggrin2.gif...Just kidding http://www.zbrushcentral.com/images/smilies/smile.png...I'm staying as simple as I can in the beginning while I explore the Pixols to 3D Plugin.
So far all that i've done is to take and turn a couple of flattened 2D canvases with images that I created on them, and turned the flattened 2D Documents into 3D Planes using the Pixols to 3D plugin...and then spun them around a little to get a different angle of view with them..and then played with the Angle of View slider that is within the DRAW Pallette ....top left of screen...to get a deeper depth and perspective.
For the one with the reflection of the horse and rider piece, I just made a duplicate,...and appended it as a subtool...rotated the subtool using the transpose feature...fitted it to the first horse and rider piece so that it looked like a reflection..and then went to the DEFORMATIONS Pallette and pressed MIRROR.

For the last couple,..I placed my 3D Plane image onto the canvas and 3D Grid....and then used the Default Cube ZPR that comes with ZBRUSH located in ZProjects...I just pressed FLIP in the Display Properties pallette ...right lower corner of screen...which inverts the cube, making it a 3D room/space in perspective....Then I appended that inverted/flipped 3D Cube as a subtool, and then used the MOVE and Scale..top of screen.. Transpose Feature to adjust the room/inverted cube around the 3D Plane with my image on it.
I then just played with the Angle of View slider located within the Draw palette....and once I got the depth I wanted,...I just spun the whole 3D thing around on the canvas until I got the view that I wanted....Pretty simple procedure actually...Just the way I like them..LOL http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/img/zbc_style/smilies/biggrin2.gif

Hey Razz..:wavey: Thanks for the visit, always appreciated and welcomed....Long time no see..Hope all is well with you and yours.:) Funny how the years slip by..I'm still learning and trying new things out, while always trying to incorporate into my art alot of the new features that come along within ZBRUSH..That program has come a long ways since I started messing around with it... and it always manages to keep the journy an adventure for me.
Creating Art,....It's a great way to pass the time, and to forget about the passage of time..while still keeping the passion that I have for it alive, which seems more important to me now than it did in my past..Time..a second in an eternity....an eternity in a second.
