Title: Friday's Game
Name: Ramon Cererols
Country: Espana
Software: Blender

This fall I saw a grasshopper catching the last feeble sun rays with its front legs as if holding a book or something. I imagined him playing cards, and this was the inspiration for this image.
I made it with Blender 2.40, using the prerelease version (alpha 2). For the smoke (over the cigar and under the lamp) I used two transparent planes uv-mapped with a cloudy mask.
For the ambient light I used a huge area lamp, and also some blue spots to outline the shapes and detach them from the background.

Reminds me of those dogs who play poker.
