Title: Devil
Name: Adam L. Minder
Country: USA
Software: 3ds max, BodyPaint, combustion, Photoshop, ZBrush

This is a render of a devil character I completed for my demo reel. Inspiration comes from the wonderful costume in the movie 'Legend'. Modeled in Zbrush, textured in Bodypaint. Created normal maps and rendered the scene in 3d Max. Post compositing done in Combustion and minor touch-ups in photoshop. Background also painted in Photoshop. I tried to use high contrast to darken the tone of the scene and accentuate the strength of the character. I hope you like it.

Not bad, but I'd say he's very out of proportion. His arms are definitely way too short. His elbows should be pretty much where his wrists are now.
He also seems to have a pretty flimsy hold on his staff. At least bend the thumb more.
The modelling is quite nice though.

I dont know but elbows by the wrists seems way too long to me. I know if i hold my arms to my side this guy matches pretty closely. His arms are also bent a little.

When I hold my arm flat down my side, my elbow sits pretty much on my hip.

Nice monotone (is that the right word?) colors.

i think you are both off. The arms are off but just by a bit on the short side and my elbows sit almost 2 inches higher that the highest part of my hip bones
