View Full Version : OCZ PowerStream power supply (520w) Good choice?

Next Friday I am buying the last pieces of my new PC "build," which is the RAM and the power supply.

I normally order from newegg, but a local computer store has this PSU at about the same price as new egg, so I was thinking about getting this rather than the Antec I was planning on ordering (but I'd have to wait to turn on my computer, lol)

Do you see anything potentially wrong?

Will be powering this,

WD 160gb harddrive
1gig RAM (2x512, not sure of brand yet)
Asus SLI Premium nforce4 mobo
MSI GeForce 7800GTx
Antec case

So I don't have a bunch of optical drives or anything, just one DVD-drive for now and one harddrive until I buy a Raptor or two.

So this an OK PSU to buy since it's local and I won't have to wait anymore? lol

I generally consider the OCZ PowerStream a fairly top performer for a PSU and have no reservations recommending it to others. Probably offers one of the cleanest and most reliable power outputs out there for PSUs.

In other words... yes, get it... :D

Cool, I was going to buy an antec truepowerII but then I'd have to wait a week or so for it to come in :(

So I guess OCZ it is! :D Thanks!
