Heya!
I have a model that is referenced into a rig file. After the model was rigged with deformers, constrains etc., I changed the shaders in the original model file. The thing is that those changes did not reflect into the rig file. However the shader itself was in the scene, only the connections to the geometry were lost.
It seems that the problem arises as Maya renames the geometry shape as I assign a deformer to it. It renames the shape in such manner that It takes away the reference namespace and adds "Deformed" after the shape name. Perhaps this is why the connections get lost. The shaders update with no problems on geometry that is NOT deformed.
Any ideas ?
