View Full Version : Projected Images on bluescreen
ThePriest 12-09-2005, 05:23 AM What options are there for showing the actor an open gl preview of the environment while being filmed on a blue screen for he/she to be able to better react to the goings on of the proposed footage?
If it was a projected map of about 20% opacity, just to give a better orientation, would it be easy to cut from the final take?

i'd personally suggest using a basic video mixer with a built in keyer and then just link that to a video monitor for them to see

Yeah, don't do that. I think that'd be messing with one of the prime directives of bluescreen lighting. You want an evenly lit, uncontaminated screen. The live key and monitor should be good enough. If they an actor needs to go to a certain point near the screen, perhaps use marks on the floor or blue colored tape on the screen that will still key out relatively easy.
