This is a simple GIF animation of searching for a planet. It is a GIF so that I could loop it, and so that it would fit with the requirements for the project.

Animations are here:
High (http://rendermonitor.no-ip.com/temp/searchingHIGH.gif) (~8MB)
Med (http://rendermonitor.no-ip.com/temp/searchingMED.gif)(~1.5MB)
Low (http://rendermonitor.no-ip.com/temp/searchingLOW.gif) (~1MB)

I recomend saving them to disk and then playing them so that the speed is correct.

Planet is made in MojoWorld, with some minor touch-up in Photoshop and Image Ready to make the GIF.

Ahhh! Very clever! I've always wondered on how to get a zoom effect like that, do you actually have to model the whole thing or what? What bugged me was the ackward (sp?) angle that the camera ends up in when it spins round, but I guess you had to to line it up and make the loop seamless...

The entire planet is indeed modeled. MojoWorld uses fractals as a displacement map to create planets.

Yes, the funny camera angle is to reduce motion when it swivels to point at the planet again for the seamless loop.

Glad you liked it.
