I am creating a walkthrough and outputting to VHS. What filters do you recommend I use. I found that VIDEO was to blured and CATMULL-ROM was to jagged during a pan.
Thanks

Well while catmull-rom is nice it tends to sharpen up your image and add more detail to your maps. But you already know this. Mitchell-Netravali is my favorite all around filter, it blurs out edges a little but helps w/ reality. The problem won't be fixed w/ filtersthrough the scanline though.

The probelm is in the maps. First I recommend making them larger if possible. If that doesn't help enable supersampling in the material editor. Adaptive Halton or Hammersley will give you the best results. This will SLOOOWWW down your renders considerably but should eliminate all jaggies......

Hope that helps a little

What about fields and motion blur?

Are you using a NLE board or scan converter?

before whacking your render times up with supersampling...try changing your bitmap filtering settings from pyramidal to summed area as this sometimes gets rid of them b'stard crawlies without too much extra render time..
