Is it possible to change mouse configuration specially for zooming in Maya?
I prefer not to hold more than one mouse key at a time.

i'm not sure about 4.02 - but with 4.5 you can use the RMB to zoom

Yeah, but unfortunately it only works like this in 3D views. You still have to use the L/M combo for zooming other stuff. I haven't had much of a chance to experiment with 4.5 though. Does it maybe make use of the scroll wheel for zooming?
