i didnt know they still made those kind of desktop cases that you put your monitor on top of. thats old stuff dude, your better of getting either a mid or full size tower. i cant tell the last time i saw one of those kinds of desktops where the monitor sits on the case

yuck...that kind of a case is for a cheapo officework computer...at best--certainly not any sort of high-performance pc

it's a toss-up as to which is the worst but energy issues(under-voltage/over-voltage/power surges/etc)and heat are easily the most damaging things to any electronic gear...this is especially true with VERY sensitive parts in a computer...

the more heat, the more damage done and the less the expected lifetime of an electronic component...those desktop case are about the worst standard type of pc case ever for heat dissipation...granted a DECADE ago when they were popular they were sufficient for heat dissipation for the components installed...but things have changed a bit...parts are more powerful, use more energy, and more energy=more heat....stay away from desktop cases for anything more powerful than a standard low-end wordprocessing type of machine

Desktop cases have been making a comeback as of late. Lots of companies, like antec, produce desktop style case. Most of these cases, however, are aimed at the HTPC market. Meaning they will only fit Micro ATX boards, or something similar.

this is just me, but that case is kinda pricey. if you really want to get a case like that then you should. i just think a tower would be better, and you could get a good one for less than that.
