View Full Version : Please tell me I dont have to redo this. - Blendshapes
MLouis 12-02-2005, 11:58 PM I think I have messed up. I am making blendshapes for a lipsync and I used a duplicate of the original head to make the other shapes, but I moved that head to a different orrigin from the original before I duplicated. Is there any way I can fix this in order for the blendshapes to work with out shifting? I hope someone can help me

hi
u mean u have done ur blendshape on the dulplicate, n u moved it n froze transforms??
If s, they u cant point constarint the duplicate head to the original n then delete the pointconstarint there by getting the translation values again! n then u can apply blenshapes so it wont move!!
sorry if I didnt understand ur ques ... if u can xplain it betr i can help u..but i m positive u dont have to redo any blendshpes!!

just make sure that your pivot points are all lined up for the shapes. When applying blendshapes in a local mode you'll want to have the pivot centered to the exact same location across every head as to avoid the "floating head" syndrome.
A quick Modify -> Center Pivot should suffice, just double check the pivots.
Personally I prefer to do a Reset Transformations and snap the pivots to 0 0 0 just to be safe and sound (not gonna be translating geometry around so it's just an ease of mind thing).
