Hi guys, I got an extra transform node in my skeleton heirarchy and i cant get rid of it without it effecting my model:

This is what I did

I wanted to copy my left arm joints from the clavicle and also keep the bone orientations, I tried mirroring the joints and the orientations were not mirrored correctly.
So instead I unparented the chain from the spine, put the chain in its own group. Then I set the pivot scale to the origin and then scaled in the x axis by -1, then I ungrouped and parented the left clavicle to the spine4 joint but now I have an extra transform node in my heirarchy and if i ungroup it or remove it while keeping the duplicated chain, the entire arm chain is rotated and i dont know why, do i have to keep this transform node?

hopefully the image will help..

Thanks.

ive had that happen before when scaling something -1. id say try to duplicate the arm again with the mirror joints tool. do it with the arm joints unparented and if you cant do that then duplicate the joints and then mirror the duplicate. scaling across -1 creates weird stuff with bones. before i scaled some controls across an axis like that and it started rotating everything 180 degrees backwards from what they were supposed to be. it was pretty annoying until i figured out what the problem was.

peace.
malcolm.
