ghostlake114 11-29-2005, 08:14 AM I am searching for document about theory of shader like lambert, phong... I only know wikipedia.com and cgwiki.com, but both of them do not have information I want, for example, this is about oren-nayar :(...just history more than tell the base of oren nayar

You can read lots about the math behind making them. Ohh and do check out the Wooden Monkey Hall of Fame. One guy even made a full GI ray tracer! (look at the bottom of the Wooden Monkey Hall of Fame)
