View Full Version : Maya's animation output
Isrithe 11-21-2002, 08:34 PM I know that when you render an animation in Maya, it outputs a bunch of image files. My question is, is there a way to output the animation as a quicktime movie file?

since maya used to be a high end app, it does not expect you to output compressed formats :)
use something else like after effects to create the movie

It's possible to output to .avi file, but if you do so the avi will be saved with full frames (uncompressed). Better render to something like Targa and import the file sequence to Combustion.
