What do you guys think, is the start of a new trend for Autodesk?; or is this an attempt to appease a growing OSS movement by throwing the dog a bone? Who knows, with the recent aqquisition of Alias, Autodesk has one flagship 3d animation package too many; a new OS 3d application would be quite appreciated (wishful thinking I know).
