Making a Seam in metal, where 2 parts come together, is there a way to make it just LOOK like it out of one piece, or does it have to be modeled in 2 parts and moved together.

Sorry if its abasic question, im trying to teach myself and im not really sure on this one.

model it as one piece, and then cut it... i think you can use fillet for this.
