hey,

I've took a picture with a camera and I wanna know how to recreate the scene in Maya. For that I need the reuse the focal information from my camera(toshiba T30).When i look at the "file info" of my picture in photoshop,it gives me a focal length of 5,8mm which is quite low depending of the distortion i got in Maya.
Is someone could help me to resolve my prob please?

thx

5,8mm is the focal of your lens relative to the area of the chip (1/4" maybe). maya probably uses a standard 35mm film as the hypothetical area (but i'm quite sure that you can set this). I don't remember if there is a conversion table around the net...

u have to match the film aperture as well
it's above focal length parameter in maya cam
match it and u will lose the distortion
