I vote Alien (not that I realy mind watching any of the other movies, except "2001: A Space Odyssey" which I remember to be a pretty horrible movie).
I also think that you should seriously consider moving the film club to the general board (or at least the weekly movie-discussion threads) since almost nobody knows about it when it's under cinematography and the number of people reviewing the flims is even less...

Doubt I'd be able to watch it in time, work is killing me, but I vote Alien cause... well, the rest of those movies are really pretty boring, honestly.

Can ALIEN be considered an adventure?

"In Space, no one can hear you scream" suggests horror to me. Apparently it also does to IMDB http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078748/ & Blockbuster Video http://www.blockbuster.com/catalog/DisplayMovieSpecialOffers.action?channel=Movies&subChannel=&movieID=115448&displayBoxArt=true

"Genre: Sci-Fi (http://www.imdb.com/Sections/Genres/Sci-Fi/) / Horror (http://www.imdb.com/Sections/Genres/Horror/) / Thriller (http://www.imdb.com/Sections/Genres/Thriller/)"
I think it applies as sci-fi, and apparently IMDB agrees.
