Hi!
I am a new Vray user and loving it more and more and more everyday I am using it because of quality and speed!
It is changing some of some of my preconceived notions about Vray, like “it is good only for interior not for product/object rendering.”

I am used to with other renderer (Brazil), and used to with some of its options, but can’t find some options, which I found to be helpful in Brazil.
Like,
1. How to exclude some object reflecting on selected object but reflecting on others? (For example, if I am using a reflective ground plane and some light planes, now I want those light planes to reflect on the my reflective objects but not on the ground plane. In Brazil there is a simple option of including and excluding (like max light) in the materials)

2.Can I render selected area of any frame for those situations where I need to change only part of the rendering and don’t want to render the entire frame all over again (like brazil has “select bucket mode” and “priority map”)?

May be these there are some ways to do it, and as I am new to it , I might be overlooking it…

Could anyone please help ?

Regards,
Saiko.

Best Place to ask would be the ACTUAL Vray forum at ChaosGroup.

for the portion render you can use max's render region from the dropdown list beside the render icon

for the brazil-like exclude from reflection, i dont know a way to do internaly with vray, but i do render 2 passes for this
if you a knew a vray feature that does it, tell me
