CGTalk - need some input

I need some crits on these works before I go too far with them(and make the problems more permanent). Any crits would be appreciated. Much thanks in advance.

1. An odd guardian creature. I'm hoping to go in the firey/melty direction with the background. For its eyes/mouth/skin think fire burning through thick leathery skin

2. Just beginning stages. She's supposed to be jumping but I'm not sure that comes accross too well here.

3. Character sheet for a story idea but mostly making myself practice rendering a character. What impression of the character do you get from this sheet?

I couldn't say. They're basically just good looking women with various sharp pointy objects.

I don't get much of an impression of them besides that. Their poses are all somewhat relaxed, the expressions kinda generic.

Perhaps you could try placing them in a scene, some daily activity that they do.

It could be said more of a character can be revealed by looking at where he or she sleeps than looking at him walk around.

I'd caution about the knife the second girl has, those spikes and blades on the grip are more likely to hurt the weilder than his opponent..

These are nice sketches, you have good drawing skills and creativity. It would be nice to see you develop some of these characters more fully. I hope to see more of your work.
