Does anybody know how to create a watertight model from the set of components exported from Poser?

For example, I export a cat model from Poser. This cat model has different components (e.g. head, legs etc.). Alghough the model is visually connected, those individual components are actually separate. Even for the same position, there are different vertices corresponding to this position but owned by different components.

Actually, I'm not familar with Maya. But I think Maya can easily handle this type of jobs, right?

Could you kindly tell me how to do it? Using boolean operations?

Hi,

First Combine your different parts into one object, then Merge Vertices with a small distance tolerance. The first command can be found under the Polygons menu and the second under the Edit polygons menu.
