Ok, first I'd like to say hello, this is my first post on these forums.

(I'm really new to this modeling malarky, so sorry if I seem a little stupid on the subject)

So I have alot of models in .3DS format, and I'd like to use them in a map I'm making for Warcraft III, Warcraft III requires these files to be in .mdl or .mdx format to be used.

I have converted these files to .mdl format, however I know need to find out what the 'paths' are for these models, I don't know how to find out the models' paths. Someone said it has something to do with how the models were 'wrapped', I didn't 'wrap' them and I don't know how they were wrapped, so how can I find out the models' paths?

Thanks for all help in advance.

Hi!

Would like to help you out but not sure I understood what you mean, could you please rephrase it?
Welcome to modeling, anyway ;)

Hi, you better may post in the other thread about game-modelling. As for Warcraft 3, there are many (I think) tutorials out there that explain these things.
