I tried to make a realistic pool area.I used 3dsmax and rendered with Mental Ray.All kind of critiques are welcome.

Looking good, the caustics are working out well. The only critiques I can think of is that the scene is too clean. Try adding some dirt into the textures on the furniture and ground. Also I think the shadows don’t need to be as dark as they are now.

First impression is good... but the water looks too bumby or busy... looks wierd. I like the caustics as well though - but still something that bothers me with the water.
