Hey, good luck. I hope you are a fast painter!
Did you do your first concept piece (the black & white one) in 3D?
I like what you have done with the colours and softness of the sky. Nice work there!

Hi Lynda, thanks and good luck to you
Yes, my first layout concept is in 3D. Has created the ships and the airplane (simple Box and Cylinder volumes) and tried/chosen the more "spectacular" camera view...
The colors are temporary, in the final image (hoping to arrive to the final image  ) will be desaturated and the scene blur and less clear more, this is the idea that I have in mind, hopes to succeed. :)

Very impressive dude. Slow?! That's incredible progress for one day. At first I saw your pic and thought you were way too behind to finish, then I saw that you just began yesterday. Nice detail. I like how all of the ships are tilted differently to indicate stormy seas. Keep at it, there is not much time left

Hi Zanne, Thanks for compliment!
Slow, previewing to have little time to disposition in the next week...
However, one proceeds in adding particular to the ship in first plane, scales, bolts, air inlet etc... I go ahead!
Beautiful detailing and aging of the ship. Keep going! You can do it! :)

I have begun to color the ships on background. The ships will be sfocate and covered from the smoke and the outbreaks, therefore I will color them without many particular...

The ships nearly are ended, will add some particular one in final phase. Now I will make the airplane.
I have desaturated the color of the sky, the grey atmosphere renders the drama of the battle better.

Ended the coloration of the first airplane. For the effect movement I have used one combination of things:
- after to have colorful I have used smudge tool, for giving a first effect of movement, then I have duplicated the level, applicated motion blur and alpha 40.
Wath's your opinion? It renders the movement idea or the effect is too much exaggerated?

Nice job. Great details. I think you should to make differences in colors temperature between close ships and farther ships. Than you will have better space feeling.
Good luck.

Hi Grzegorz, thanks for compliment and the councils.
I will modify the colors in final phase, after to have added the smoke and the outbreaks, for having one more complete vision. Hour I am adding the sailors in the scene... 1... 2... 3... 1000... 300000... :surprised my mind wavers :D
My goodness you have been busy. Great work so far.
Good luck for finishing in time...because there really isn't much time left now....

Flame, smoke and bullet...
With all the explosions, I'd like to see the image as a whole so far to see how they mesh together. Individually they look great. It actually looks like you are having fun with them because you have done them so well. I am not 100% sure of the big spray explosion you have on the ship facing us. It looks at this stage a little too like fireworks.
Keep going!

I have made only this outbreak, now I am painting the others and then place the image total.
You have reason, the sprays of the outbreak white are too much large in proportion with the rest... I must modify them and make them more small.
I am amusing a lot with this illustration :bounce:
I will succeed to end? YES, I can make it us!!!
