basically im trying to get better with color, my drawings are always pretty clear when they are still black and white, but... as you can see it gets a bit foggy when I make the transition to color. (I lost about an hour of work due to a stupid save as mistake, so it would probably take alot to get me working on this thing again, basically I need advice on the coloring hard/soft objects, more effectively also any advice to strengthen my drawing would be great too)

The most difficult thing with this drawing is figuring out what's what.

The soldier is a mass of lines and shapes placed almost in the center of the image. It's very difficult determining what his pose is, let alone what he's doing. I can't tell where his arms are, whether he's facing towards or away from the viewer. I would recommend placing him in a post that adds some internal negative space.

You use a very illustrative background with solid shapes, and those solid snowflakes, it's a good way of offsetting the more detailed soldier. You just need to get the soldier working better.
