View Full Version : transparency problem
birdy 11-23-2005, 12:00 PM I have a problem with transparency.
I made two objects and gave it a transparent white perspex like material.
When I put the first object parly or complete into the other object the first object is black when I render it.
What can cause this behaviour. I enabled refraction and increased the ray depth.

try checking the transperancy box in the lights/shadow attributes. also use a compositing tag to remove shadow casting from your outer object - just a thought not sure if this is the right answer for you.

This might not be the brightest idea but could it be that the ray depth in the rendersettings are set to low (thus causing Cinema to calculate all necessery ray-refractions)?

I turned the material projection to Sperical. Was UVW mapping.
This solved the problem.
