Iv been banging my head against the wall for the longest time trying to figure out how to make a seemless model of a human head using nurbs . My main hang ups are with topology and connecting my patches into one seemless patch . There are certain shapes I can't seem to figure out how to make using nurbs for example , a quater sphear connected to a half cylinder . If someone could give me some help with this I would really appreciate it . I just need some advice , tutorials , or the name of a good book on the subject.

hi!

I understand your frustration. Unfortunately I don't know much on the subject, simply because when I realized the difficulties with nurbs I started using box modeling! and I would advise to do the same, I'm a big fan.
What I know, although, is that even big fans of nurbs don't normally advise to use the for characters, too complicated.
hope this helps a smidgen  :)

There are many books outthere but that one is the only one i would recommend for Modeling. Is great, and explaints why things work the way they work.
