Has anyone else gotten this invitation to join a Microsoft Graphics Research Panel? The link is:

http://deploy.ztelligence.com/start/index.jsp?PIN=137ZX2S3LUDPU (http://deploy.ztelligence.com/start/index.jsp?PIN=137ZX2S3LUDPU)

Seems legit, but not sure. The full text of the e-mail invite I received is attached below...

----snip----------
At Microsoft, we are committed to continually improving our software to make it easier to use by customers like you. One area we would like to improve is the ability to create and work with graphics across Microsoft Office. Achieving that goal requires that we frequently get feedback from our customers.

We are building a panel consisting of graphics professionals to better understand the tools you use to do your job. Members of this panel will have repeated opportunities to take part in Microsoft research surveys and have a direct impact on development of future tools. Typically, we will send you six to twelve surveys over the next year. In appreciation of your time, at the completion of each survey, you'll be entered in a sweepstakes to win cash awards.

If you are interested in participating in this panel, please click on the link below to see if you qualify and join today! For participating in our short survey, you will receive one entry in a sweepstakes for a chance to win one of six cash prizes including a Grand Prize of $500 and five additional prizes of $100 each.

Why would MS pick you of all people to this? (and I am not saying that as a 'knock' I am just saying that how did your name come up on their radar? - after all, they are a multi billion dollar company with tens of thousands of employees)

Also why do most of the links not even point to a microsoft.com website.

Sounds like total BS to me, unless you had specificlly signed up for this with MS to begin with.

That is in no way legit... go to microsoft.com and try and find it on their site... not there...

Good question. I'm a member of a jobs board called Vault.COM. Apparently, when you sign-up you are added to a special offers list. I guess they selected me (and others) because of my vocation.

I went ahead and took the survey anyway. My curiosity got the better of me. It does seem legit after all. The questions all relate to graphics apps and MS interoperability questions.

Well for your sake I hope you didn't give out any important nformation... there are MANY, MANY offers that look "legit" but are really far from. Good luck.
