managed some more work, i think i sorta kinda fixed the perspective and made the tub more floaty like

unfortunetly, i came back to it today and the file was sorta broken. i had to redo it today, and i might manage to get some details in tomorrow.

This is coming along nicely. One critism is the depth of the bath, it needs to be deeper.

hmm, i dont think im going to make the bath any deeper because i want the image to be a bit surreal. unless you mean that the bath is taking something away from it compositionally.....

anyways, started work on the details, but you cant really see anything from far away. so for now, ill give you a close up of their expression :P

um... i hate to say it, but I actually like the lighting in the first image better. The sense of light and atmosphere just appeal to me more. Just an opinion, you ultimately do whatever you like.

ugh, life keeps getting in the way. anyways, latest update, rearranged some things, lightend the background to go back to what i had earlier --> ill see how far ill lighten it, this isnt the final lighting thingy/// and i made the tub deeper and narrower

Hey I completely missed this one! I love it, works nicely.

There seem to be some weird perspective issues though. Or it's weird anatomy on he girls upper body.

Nice woprk.

Hi yulias, the pipes seem a bit too strong. Maybe u could make the room a little more creepy and dark. fire extinguisher? For my own opinion donít think the fire extinguisher fits in the room, but i have to agree it is very well rendered. Try to input more texture. Donít give up. U has great potential (I still remember ur red dress thread)

I suppose it might be a little wierd... i ment for this one to be interpreted, thats why i think i might need to keep the fire extinguisher. i suppose i should explain

this was sort of an experement in symbolism that happened accidently

The girl is sitting on an empty floating tub --> it cant be touched by anything. the tub is symbolic because the female is the empty vessel etc etc and is waiting to be filled by something (i cant remember who said this) the bird which represents men comes into the room ready to attack and he brings with him a flood of water, but she stops the flow of water (if you look the water doesnt go past her). her pose is closed and crossed away from the bird. dispite all of this there are two cups ready for a tea party ->>> she invited the bird the fire extinguisher is there to put out fire, even though the bird comes with water. its in her reach. fire -> passion.

i suppose that doesnt make much sense, but hey, it was an experement, and it was fun :P im going to put this one away for a while and see if there is any more work i want to do on it before i put it in the finished section

yulias,

I think this is a beautiful piece, but I think the image would be helped if you were to use photo reference for the major elements ~ the figure, the bird, the bkgrd., etc.

Check out my friend Hong Ly's website for figure references:

http://www.characterdesigns.com/

and I would love if you would consider participating in the Open Figure Drawing Workshops, a new installment of which just opened today:

Open Figure Drawing Workshop with Hong Ly and Rebeccak 010 (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?p=2936877#post2936877)

Also check out previous OFDWs, all of which are linked here (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.php?p=2602753&postcount=3). I believe you participated in the Anatomy Review 003? :) It would be great to have more of your participation in the Anatomy Forum. :)

Cheers,

~Rebeccak
