View Full Version : PA Challenge - character - Sirchced
Sirchced 02-27-2002, 07:07 AM This is the sketch that I did for my model (image of the model coming soon). I don't know how well I am going to do... All of the other models that other people have done are very impressive. I didn't know so many great modelers were out there.

This is the model as it is so far. I still want to work on the details and place him in a pose.

Bigger hand (Fingers more fat...) will be better but the rest is perfect and funny! Shoes are very hilarious!!!

Thanks Totitch. I was originally going to make the hands very big like I have in the sketch, but it seemed like it might be a little awkward when he holds his weapon.

Yes maybe but all the extremily(Head,Feet) are large, and so it looks strange that the hand are not !
They look very thin for a guy with a big stomac like that... :D
I'm sure his look will be better with big hands...
Try please! :)
He is very funny!
It's a character i will be happy to animate!
Great stuff!

I'm battling with the idea of making he hands bigger... I really don't want to because that would be disproportioned. Let me explain... Everything he is wearing is large - the hat, the body armor, and his boots, but he is actually quite thin, tall and lanky. If you can imagine him without his armor on then you will see what I mean. But, I also see what you are trying to say and maybe the answer is to add some kind of armor to his hands that makes them larger as well. What do you think of that idea?

yes! I'm agree in all with my crazy french friends: stipen and totitch!:
excellent design, great props, cool rendering, and the hands are thin. :)
anyway.... maybe with rig the hands turn better! It's probably!
I think the armour in the arms isn't necesary, but if you want try yo add something.
The shoes are awesome!! very funny!
come on! we want the pose of the skecth! :D

It looks like a semi-realistic characeter...So why don't you want him to be a little disproportioned!
Don't limited you with this realistics idea!!!
It's the force of the cartoon to exagerate the things you want to be viewed...
Head and Hands are the most important part of a character(expression for acting)...He will be cool...Please try pleeeaaaaaaase!!! :( :( :( :D
But add some kind of armor is cool too!!!
It's the same way after all! :D
Again...It's a great work!I like it very very much!

I see your point... well made I should add... and I'm going to make his hands bigger, at least try and see. I will also try to put him in the pose of the sketch after I finish rigging him.
Thanks for all of your comments. Keep them coming.

I'm going to eventually pose him as in the sketch, but I might not be able to do that in time for the challenge... I'm having problems with his bones.
