This guy has been sitting in a tree in my back yard for years and not even once have I seen any birds knocking on the front door. A sad and empty life for a bird house.

Great stuff man. Did you do this from scratch, or did you use some photo reference in your painting for the tree?

Oh, should have mentioned that. Yes, it's a mix of photo and CG. The tree as you noticed is a photo. I've just tweeked the colors a lot, blured it and added a some lights.
The bird house and the spider web is CG.
I'm relatively new to CG so I am happy by the result:)
