This is a low-count poly model for gaming, for my Demo-reel.The dwarf is 1304 triangles, while the shield is 80 and the hammer 228.Hammer in bg is 44 polys and axe is 164. All are bump and spec mapped. Comments and crits welcome please. I'm a student and I am only one mounth from finishing school,Yippie

It looks like you have done a really good job. Where are you at school? Do you have other angles you can post? From this view it looks like the front of his boots are really pointed. But it is hard to tell. Throw up a couple more views for us please.

The texturing is pretty good. The colours are kind of bland, but some nice lighting might make it more interesting.

The model is quite blocky for that many polys. I suspect you have some wasted triangles somewhere.

Thanks for your input guys.I'm currently enrolled at Applied Multi-media Training centre in Calgary,Alberta, Canada. The model is a bit blocky yes,but for my first low poly model its not to bad. For me texturing is where its at but I've been working on my low poly modeling, and will post a minotaur I've been working on in awhile , I'm just really busy working on my high rez models.I posted one in WIP a while ago but got very few commments, just like this post, but 'o'-well.I will post some more images of this model though if you'd like.:wavey:

I dont know much about dwarves and fantasy realms but perhaps if he were a bit more stocky. Bigger shoulders and what not.

He looks cool though.

Heya, maybe you could try a bigger beard, usually dwarves have a big one that almost hides the mouth, giving'em a grumpy and threatening aspect ( which is why they're know for in term of behavior ).
That said he's very good, wish i could Lp model like that !

Pretty good job, thanks for the extra pics. I think the toes are very sharp, but fixing it would take a few more polys per foot.
Nice work though.
