Hello! I am a novice with Maya and am new here, so I don't know exactly what to expect.
I've been using this online tutorial to practice hypershading :
http://www.creativemac.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=21830-0
It is very easy so far, except when I got to the part involving using Photoshop and Maya at the same time to add detail to a tecture.
When I rmb click on the tecture icon sadly, it doesn't give me the "open in Photoshop" option.
I believe it's because I skipped the first step involving a Read me file. Since I wasn't sure what that meant. It goes like this :
"We'll also look at using textures to drive some often overlooked areas in Maya. Make sure to go through the setup outlined in the READ ME file for installing the scripts and Photoshop ("")scripting plugin."
So I think I need to add some functions to Maya for it to work with PS but don't know how.
I hope I didn't miss anything obvious and my question isn't too dumb. Thanks for reading.
